Ratanhia Toothpaste

Description

Weleda’s original toothpaste from 1923, this time-tested formulation contains extracts of soothing ratanhia root sourced from long-term farming partners in the Peruvian Andes. Ratanhia, which is rich in antibacterial tannins, is included to ease swelling and redness and strengthen the gums. The root’s distinctive red colouring gives the dusky pink paste its blackcurrant ice-cream colour. Essential oils of peppermint and spearmint create a herbal mint flavour to gently freshen breath.

How to use:
Regular twice-daily brushing keeps gums and mouth in good condition.
For children over 6 years, we recommend a pea-sized amount.

I used to suffer from regular bouts of mouth ulcer as did my father. I discovered the Ratanhia toothpaste and found it soothed my mouth and didn’t irritate like other toothpastes. Since using it for more than 20 years, I don’t get mouth ulcers. It’s the tannins which help.

This toothpaste is brilliant. I hope they never stop making it. I've been using it for years, and wouldn't want to use anything else. I love the fresh taste and it keeps my gums really healthy - no bleeding.

I love this particular Weleda toothpaste and have been using it for years. It has a lovely taste - no synthetic sweeteners. It's a lovely pale pink colour, is mild and gentle and never stings. The metal container is so much nicer than plastic.

I have used this toothpaste for quite a few years it is the best I have ever used. My gums never bleed as they did with most other toothpastes. I find it perfect and it is popular with everyone in the family
